HIGH MANGANESE STEEL (MN-13)
HIGH MANGANESE STEEL (MN-13)
Manganese steel also called Hadfield steel or Mangalloy, is a steel alloy containing 12-14% manganese. Renowned for its high impact strength and resistance to abrasion in its hardened state, the steel is often described as the ultimate work hardening steel. It has an extremely high impact strength and abrasion resistance in its hardened state. Manganese steel is a steel that works harder the more it's used- you can't say that for a lot of material. In fact, you'll often hear it described as the “ultimate work hardening steel”. .

One of the main benefits of using High Manganese Wear Resistant Plates is their ability to resist corrosion even when exposed to harsh environments such as salt water or acidic chemicals also, this makes them ideal for use in marine applications or near chemical processing plants where corrosion resistance is necessary. Another benefit of using these plates is their heat resistance; they can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees Celsius without losing strength or integrity. Additionally, they can retain their shape even when subjected to extreme pressures or impact forces, this makes them perfect for use in mining operations where there may be significant amounts of debris being thrown around during excavation processes. .
What is high manganese steel plate?
A high manganese steel plate is a type of steel plate that contains high levels of manganese typically between 12% and 14%. This steel is known for its high strength, toughness & wear resistance, making it well suited for use in heavy duty applications such as mining, construction & industrial processing. The high manganese content in the steel increases its ability to harden under the impact, which helps to reduce wear & tear on the material. High manganese steel plate is also resistant to abrasion making it a good choice for parts subjected to high wear & tear levels.
